Random Things at the Ranch

Sometimes, I’m at a loss for words and this is one of those times. Or ideas. Or funny. Whatever. Let’s see what I can pull out of my hat, shall we?

Recently I mentioned I was having some problems with my bank. Seems they didn’t want to deposit some money of mine.

Have you ever heard of a bank turning down money?

Anyway, they did work hard to resolve the problem. After a couple of weeks of haggling, they called me in to take my deposit.

Being the smart alec I am, I mentioned to them that for all the hassle I went through, they  should give me what they give their big dollar customers who open up giant CD’s with huge bucks. I knew the days of the toaster were gone, but I have a well-to-do friend who got the most expensive baseball cap in town from the bank President for his deposit.

I was going to show you a picture of their baseball cap, but when I Googled it all I got was this:

A bunch of photos of people robbing banks

These robbers didn’t really work on their disguises very well, did they? I bet they don’t have very creative Halloween costumes either, plus I’m pretty sure they’re both wearing orange right about now.

Well, there’s the proof

Let’s try that baseball cap thing again.

That’s better, though his doesn’t really look like this

I always said it was the most expensive baseball cap I’d every seen.

But back to my story. So I said to my nice banker lady, “With all the hassle I’ve been through, you’d think I’d at least get a baseball cap.”

She laughed and we continued our business. When we were done, she headed out front to deposit my check while I waited in her office.  A few minutes later she came back and handed me this.

My very own pony! Whoopee!

Another character for the Dancing Dog Ranch and Pony Stables.

His name is Lightning

Trust me, he’s the fastest thing here at the Dancing Dog Ranch and Pony Stables.

Speaking of Random Things at the Ranch, how about this – keeping in the horse mode.

A hand-painted horse hoof

Don’t ask me. It was a present. Think I could get $20 for it on eBay? It’s signed by the artist. And no, I have no idea where or how she got it.

Tomorrow, I think we’ll talk about my second favorite room at the Dancing Dog Ranch (and Pony Stables.)

Spreading laughter throughout the world…one chuckle at a time.
